The Belgian Malinois is part of the sheepdog family, similar to the Belgian shephard dog. They are commonly trained for police department services and support.

A Belgian Malinois is a medium-sized dog, with a fawn or mahogany coat that is short-haired with a black overlay. The ears and muzzle of this type of dog are black. It is also characterised for its square body.

Belgium Malinois are active, protective, and friendly. They commonly have a very high prey drive and require consistent training.
