Blueseed is a startup from California that seeks to circumvent the tightening work visa laws in the US by creating a startup community for international entrepreneurs near Silicon Valley but yet outside America's jurisdiction.

The company envisions a cruise ship-style facility anchored half an hour (12 miles) from Silicon Valley.

To be able to live and work on Blueseed, the company plans to charge a combination of rent and equity to accommodate for the stage of each individual startup. The price per person will include living and office space, and will range from $1200 for a shared cabin to $3000 for a top-tier single accommodation cabin.

For its first vessel, Blueseed will be chartering a cruise ship but custom-built ships are being designed for later stages of the project.
