Hogewey

A village residential model for older people with dementia. Also known as "Dementia Village", Howgewey is a village where the residents can live a seemingly normal life and personal caretakers of restaurants, cinemas, supermarkets and other shops. There are several categories of different lifestyle (religious, urban, housewife, etc.) which aims to create an experience of years of resident training and help them to live as a family member of a life as possible.

To make the experience as real as possible, residents freely roam the village, make any necessary to shop at the supermarket and help with any kitchen as they would at home. Staff have been instructed to not correct the residents about their memories. At the same time, staff will not deceive residents ask directly.
