Project Glass is a research and development programme by Google to prototype and build an augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD). While the idea is not new, the project has garnered attention from its backing by Google and for the smaller and slimmer design compared to previous attempts.

The current demo resembles a normal pair of eye glasses, where the lens is replaced by a heads-up display and may be integrated into people's normal eyewear in the future.
