Chloromethane
A colorless gas with a sweet odor. Once used as a coolant in consumer products, but are no longer used because of its toxicity. It is the central nervous system irritants, and in high doses can cause paralysis, fainting, or coma. Chloromethane was first synthesized by Peligot in 1835. The chemical formula is CH 3 Cl, and has melting point-97 ° c, boiling point-24 ° c, and of course produced from sunlight to react with biomass and chlorine in the oceans. Used industrially as a coolant. Chloromethane was also used to become lead-based gasoline, but today it is mainly used as a chemical intermediate in the production of silicone.
