Currently it has more than 30.000 students and 9 administrative campuses along different cities. In Salamanca there are 6 campuses (depending on the studies). It offers 81 different degrees.

The University of Salamanca is the top-ranked university in Spain based on the number of students coming from other regions, and it is also known for its Spanish courses for non-native speakers, which attracts more than two thousand foreign students each year.

The University of Salamanca co-founded the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE) in 1989 with the University of Cambridge.
