Wyoming, with the nickname "The Equality State," is a state in the Mountain region of the Western United States. Cheyenne is the capital and the most populous city. Other major cities include Casper, Laramie, Gillette, Rock Springs, Sheridan, Green River, Evanston, Riverton, and Cody. Wyoming is bordered on the north by Montana, on the east by South Dakota and Nebraska, on the south by Colorado, on the southwest by Utah, and on the west by Idaho. It entered the Union on July 10, 1890 as the 44th state of the U.S.
