Diabetic diet is a special list of food suitable for people who suffers from diabetes. This diet is usually high in fibre and low in fats. It is said that its origins are in 1922 some days before the insulin was discovered, when Frederick Madison Allen recommended people with diabetes a low-calorie diet to prevent them from being killed by ketoacidosis.
