Femto-photography
New photography technology that captures images at about the rate of 1 trillion frames per second. This allows the final film to accurately capture individual photons as they move through the air.
An interesting application of this technology is that it allows cameras to see around corners. A camera can send a beam of light at a wall and then construct an image based on the "echoes" of light that are returned, not dissimilar to the way that sonar works with sound.
