Argentina
The Argentine Republic is the second largest South American country, and is considered the eighth-largest country in the world, encompassing a total of 23 provinces. Argentina's capital is the Atlantic coast city of Buenos Aires, and the population is approximately 40,091,359 according to a 2010 census. In 2010, the country celebrated 200 years since it's independence from Spain in 1810, and is the largest Spanish speaking country in terms of land area. Argentina is bordered by the Atlantic to the east, the Andes mountains to the west, Chile to the south and west, Paraguay and Bolivia to the north, and Uruguay and Brazil to the northeast.
