Ayurveda

Ayurveda is an alternative traditional medicine system from India which appeared during the Vedic period in India. It takes in account 5 elements as the principal component of the universe: earth, water, fire, air and sky; and 7 elements as the principal components of the human body: plasma, blood, flesh, fat, bone, marrow and reproductive tissues. There are also 3 combinations of energies, and although the combination of them is different in each person, they exist in the same proportion for each one, and when this doesn't happen illnesses appear. Surgery is used in Ayurveda but it also focuses on exercise, yoga, and meditation.
