Operates for the purposes of fulfilling economic obligations under the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States and it also carries out its activity in accordance with an Agreement on the Status of the Economic Court and a Statute thereon, approved by the Council of Heads of States. The location of the Economic Court is the city of Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
