Luc Ferry (born January 3, 1951 in Colombes in the Hauts-de-Seine, France) is a French philosopher and former Minister of Youth, National Education and Research in the first and second Jean-Pierre Raffarin governments. He is the great-nephew of Jules Ferry, mayor of Paris in 1871.
