Barleywine

An exceptionally strong type of ale. Barelywines tend to be very alcoholic, with a lot of sweetness from residual unfermented sugars.  Many are very hoppy as well, to balance the sweetness of the unfermented sugars.  The name derives from the fact that the alcohol content is comparable to that of wine.
