A kit is a collection of all the materials you need to cross stitch a design. Some kits are factory made and are sealed so that we cannot cheque the contents. Where we have a separate chart, we can usually make up a kit for you. Those kits contain the chart, fabric, specialty threads and beads, a needle, and the floss if you want it.
