Heavy Ion

Ion is a relatively large mass and low mobility, which is made by attaching a small ion Aitken nucleus. Major ions were found Langevin and is sometimes referred to as "Jonah" large ions. Langevin have ion mobility order 10-8 m − 1 in n − 1 volt, or some 10000 times lower than those of small ions. As a result, these atmospheric ions contribute virtually nothing to heat the air, except in rare cases, where small ions is almost absent. They usually have only one electronic charge, as is true of small ions. Major ions move so slowly that they are not destroyed, as have other major ions neutralized paired characters, for such collisions is too rare. Instead, they were offset by their alliance with the small ions of the opposite sign. Their average lifetime is about 15-20 minutes over the oceans, but can approach 1 h in a very polluted air. The density of ions of major ions varies widely depending on the degree of pollution of the atmosphere. Representative low values can be 109 m − 3 in the clean country air, 1010 m − 3 in the industrial zone and 108 m-3 over the oceans.
