A set of personality characteristics that are the opposite of type A personality and therefore considered to be much less susceptible to heart disease. These characteristics include being casual about appointments, being a good listener, never feeling rushed, being slow and deliberate in manner and speech, being easygoing, having many interests outside work, and being able to express feelings. Types A and B are a continuum, and most people would fall towards one end or the other.
