'n Klein voorgereg wat voor hoofgeregte bedien word. In sekere gevalle is die hoofdoel om die aptyk te wek of stimuleer, maar normaalweg is dit om die aptyt te verminder sonder om dit vir die hoofgereg te bederf. Alhoewel hierdie voedsel tipies in klein hoeveelhede bedien word, kan dit rojaal met duur bestanddele voorberei word.
