Moctezuma's headdress
Moctezuma's headdress is a feather-work crown, which at one time was believed to have belonged to the Aztec emperor, Moctezuma II. The feathers are arranged in a semicircle with a diameter of around 1 meter.
The crown currently resides in the Museum of Ethnology in Vienna, Austria and has been a source of dispute between Austria and Mexico, since there are no similar examples in Mexico, and the Mexican side consider the crown to be national property. Details of a loan from Vienna to Mexico need to be confirmed, and it is unknown how the headdress will be transported as the centuries-old feathers are extremely delicate.
