Emission

A substance discharged into the air, especially by an internal combustion engine. The majority of the substance consists of un-burned hydrocarbons that react in the atmosphere to produce ground-level ozone. Urban air gases consist of nitrogen oxides, reactive organic gases, carbon monoxide, and sulphur oxides. Emission standards from EPA are just about everywhere and air pollutants are controlled from both industrial and automobile sources.
