Points
Points are scored each time a ball is not returned over the net. The point system starts at love and then is counted in intervals of 15 up to 40. Remembering that the server's score is listed first if the server wins the first point the score would be stated as being 15-love. If the server won the rest of the points the score would next be 30-love 40-love then game and it would be 1 game to 0. Then the other player would serve. If you win 6 games then you have won a set. See also Game, Set and Deuce.
