Cricket

Terms of or pertaining to the bat-and-ball game played between two teams of 11 players on a roughly circular field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard long pitch. Each team takes it in turn to bat, in which they attempt to accumulate as many runs as possible, while the other team fields, attempting to prevent the batting team scoring runs.

Tour match

Any match on a tour which does not have full international status; most typically matches played as a warm-up between the travelling international team and a local club or composite team.

Wrong 'un

Australian term for a googly - a legspinner's delivery that turns in the opposite direction, ie from off to leg.

Half-tracker

Sports; Cricket

Another term for a long hop. So called because the ball roughly bounces halfway down the pitch.
