Move with text

Use the Move with Text command in the Frame dialogue box to specify that when text around a frame is moved, the frame should move with it.

The formula bar is located under the toolbars at the top of the working screen. It contains the edit line for working with formulas, and provides information regarding cell addresses.

Word allows you to perform simple calculations that follow the syntax of Excel formulas. If you need to perform more complex calculations, you can also insert an Excel worksheet into Word.

Functions

A function is a preset formula. Functions consist of the function name and its arguments. The function name tells Excel what calculation you want it to perform.

General format

A new worksheet opens in general format. General format aligns numbers to the right side of the cell and text to the left.

Goal seek

Goal Seek adjusts the value of a specific cell until a formula that includes that cell reaches the result you want.

Gridlines

Use the Gridlines command on the Table menu to display thin dotted lines around the cells of a table. Gridlines do not print.
