Genetic engineering
plasmid
Agriculture; Genetic engineering
A small circular DNA molecule found in bacteria. Plasmids are exchanged between bacterial cells under natural circumstances.
fixation
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
An event that occurs when all the alleles at a locus except one are eliminated from a population. The remaining allele, now occurring with a frequency of 100%, is said to have been fixed.
dissection
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
Separation of a tissue by cutting for analysis or observation.
di-Deoxinucleotidos (ddNTP)
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
A Deoxinucleotidos that lacks hydroxyl-3´ of a group and is therefore unable to form the link of phospho-diester 3´ 5´ required for the elongation of the chain. Di Deoxynucleotidos are used in the ...
Organogenesis
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
The introduction of random or de Novo shoots or roots of cornea, meristem or suspension cultures.
Complementary gardens
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
On two or more grounds, such that (in the case of the missing complementary dominant) dominant allele of gene or may only produce an effect on phenotype of an organism if the dominant allele of the ...
caulogenesis
Biotechnology; Genetic engineering
Stem organogenesis; induction of shoot development from callus.
