Beluga whale

Beluga whale (also called white whale) is a kind of cetacean which lives in the Artic and the sub-Artic oceans. Male belugas can length up to 6.5 metres and weight up to 1600kg, female belugas are smaller. They are white and have an oily, fatty protuberance on the top of its head which is malleable: they can change it by blowing its sinuses. Belugas are currently nearly in danger of extinction.
