Титаник
The fabled passenger liner that sank after hitting an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, United Kingdom to New York City in April 1912.
The largest passenger steamship in the world at the time, the Titanic was built by the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Northern Ireland and officially launched on May 31, 1911.
Owned and operated by the White Star Line, the ship set sail for New York City on April 10 1912 with 2,223 people on board. She sank on April 15, 1912 after colliding with an iceberg, killing 1,517 passengers.
