Advanced Placement (AP)
A high school programme in the United States and Canada sponsored by the College Board that offers standardised courses to high school students that are generally equivalent to undergraduate courses in college. A student achieving a exam score of 3 or better out of 5 is admitted to the college of the student's choice. Participating colleges decide whether or not to grant credit or placement for AP work in high school.
