Albert Camus
Albert Camus (7 November 1913 - 4 January 1960) was a French author, journalist and philosopher. While widely cited as an existentialist, he denied this in his lifetime and contributed more to the school of absurdism. He was the recipient of the 1957 Nobel Prize in Literature and was also dedicated to the protection of human rights. He died in a car accident in 1960 when he travelled in his publisher's car instead of catching the train.
