Armstrong County
Armstrong County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas, and was formed in 1876 from Bexar County. It is part of the Amarillo metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the population is 1,901. Tom Blasingame, the oldest cowboy in the history of the American West, lived in Armstrong County and worked for seventy-three years in ranching, mostly on the JA Ranch.
