Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 - 7 July 1930) was a Scottish author and physician most noted for his storeys about the detective Sherlock Holmes. He was born in Edinburgh and studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh. He started his writing career in the 1880s. Doyle was also a advocate of justice and his actions partly led way to the establishment of the Court of Criminal Appeal in 1907. He was also a spiritualist after finding solace in the movement after the death of his first wife.
