One of the earliest-settled human colonies in the Hub worlds, settled in the first wave of human expansion to the stars. At the time of the Veran colonial venture it was already becoming dependent on resources from its own colonies, degraded by overpopulation and resource exhaustion. Its technological expertise and political importance kept it viable for another few millenia as a 'hive world', but it is in decline and will probably be abandoned as soon as its planetary government can locate and/or terraform a new planet.
