Bally's Las Vegas, formerly known as the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, is a hotel and casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada, United States. It was opened in December 1973 and was the site of a devastating fire in 1980, in which 84 people died. The hotel was sold to Bally Entertainement Corporation in 1985 for $594m and has been owned by Caesars Entertainment Inc since 2003.
