Battles of Port Arthur

Two battles for the fortress of Port Arthur in the Liaodong peninsula of China. On 21 November 1894, during the Sino-Japanese War, the Japanese stormed the fortress. On 8 February-2 May 1904, during the Russo-Japanese War, the Japanese navy successfully attacked the Russian fleet outside Port Arthur before assaulting the fortress, forcing Russia to surrender it.
