A private liberal arts university located in Nashville Tennessee, and established in 1890. Belmont University has 5,960 students and is considered the largest Christian university and the second largest private university in the state of Tennessee. The university currently ranks 5th of masters-degree universities in the south according to the U.S. News and World Report, and admitted 63% of its applicants for the 2008-2009 school year.
