Located off the east coast of the United States in the North Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda is a British overseas territory with a population of around 64,566 (2010) and the city of Hamilton as its capital. Bermuda was discovered in 1503 by Spanish explorer Juan de Bermudez, and the country is composed of seven main islands in addition to various other smaller ones.
