The Bourbon Restoration was the period following the First French Empire of Napoleon I and the reinstallation of the Kingdom of France. The period lasted from 1815 to 1830 and was a constitutional monarchy, which meant the monarchy had less power than before the revolution of 1792. The period was immediately followed by the July Monarchy, who were from a different branch of the House of Bourbon.
