Bruce Lee
(1940-1973) Bruce Lee was a Chinese American martial arts actor. He was born in San Francisco to Chinese parents, but he lived in Hong Kong until he was 18. At this age, due to the streets fights he was involved in, he moved to the States to study and to obtain the USA citizenship.
Lee continued training in martial arts and competing in USA and in 1964 he participated in the Long Beach International Karate Championships and then he was offered an audition. Although he had already appeared in some films a child (his father was a famous opera star), his first role as a grown up was in the TV series The Green Hornet, and after several TV series, he made his first starring role in The Big Boss (1971). After that film Bruce became a star and an icon around the world. He was also the founder of the Jeet Kune Do martial arts movement. His philosophy about it was "the style of no style".
He met his wife Linda Emery at the University of Washington, where he was studying. They got married in 1964 and had two children: Brandon Lee (1965) and Shannon Lee (1969).
Bruce Lee's complete last film was Enter the Dragon (1972). His film Game of Death was uncompleted because he suddenly died at the age of 32. It was said that he dead because of a cerebral edoema due to a reaction to the painkiller Equagesic.
