Chinese newspapers
China has the largest market in the world for daily newspapers with around 100 million copies sold every day. The number of Chinese newspapers has greatly increased from 42 in 1968 to more than 2,200 today. More recently, there has been a marked increase in advertising revenue as newspapers in China begin to become more profitable and competitive.
There are several national newspapers such as the China Daily and Guangming Daily, every province has at least one daily newspaper and there are a collection of newspapers based on specialist areas such as sport, business and information technology.
