Ciudad Juárez is a city and seat of the municipality of Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It is known as "the most violent zone in the world outside of declared war zones". A lot of the crimes are related to wars between drug dealers. Violence towards women in the municipality has increased dramatically in the past twenty years; the fist case occurred in 1993, and only in 2010, 3.100 women were killed. It is believed that some important people such as high rank policemen and politicians are involved in the crimes against women.
