Digimon is a Japanese TV series revolving around a fictional parallel universe called the "Digital World". The Digital World is populated "Digimon", creatures capable of understanding/speaking language and are able to evolve into stronger monsters or devolve into weaker monsters.

In the series, several children from Earth are transported to the Digital World where they meet their Digimon partner. Together, they travel throughout the Digital World to defeat the villains and save the Earth and the Digital World from destruction.
