Futurama is an American animated science fiction sitcom created by Matt Groening, which first aired from 1999 to 2003. It centres on the adventures of a 20th century pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who has been cryogenically frozen for one thousand years and his life living in the 31st century. DVD sales and rerun popularity led the the cancelled show being revived in 2008 with four movies and two new seasons broadcast in 2010 and 2012.
