An AOML data centre located in Miami, Florida that manages the deployment of drifting buoys around the world. Global Lagrangian Drifters (GLD) are placed in areas of interest using research ships, VOS, and U.S. Navy aircraft. Once they are operationally verified, the data is telemetered to the GDS and disseminated to interested parties everywhere.
