Gordie Howe
Canadian-born American professional ice hockey player and administrator. His career record of 1,850 total points (goals and assists) in the National Hockey League (NHL) stood until it was broken by Wayne Gretzky in 1989. His record of 801 goals in the NHL was broken by Gretzky in 1994. For three decades Howe entertained fans with his skill and competitive fire and became known for the "Gordie Howe hat-trick," which comprised a goal, an assist, and a fight in a single game.
