Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud
Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud was born in 1955 in Jalalaqsi, in the Hiran region of Somalia. He is a Somali civil and political rights activist, former university dean, and politician. Mohamoud obtained a diploma in technology from Mogadishu's Somali National University in 1981. In 1986, he moved to India and attended Bhopal University (now Barkatullah University), where he earned a Master's degree of technical education in 1988. On 10 September 2012 he was elected as the President of Somalia.
