House of Stuart
The House of Stuart is a European royal house. It was founded during the late 14th century when the Stuarts became monarchs of the Kingdom of Scotland and subsequently the house ruled over Great Britain and Ireland too. There were eight Stuart monarchs of Scotland, and then six monarch of a united Scotland, England and Ireland. The house came to an end in 1707 when Queen Anne died without an heir and the crown passed to the House of Hanover.
