How I Met Your Mother
How I Met Your Mother is an American sitcom that premiered in 2005. Set in Manhattan, New York City, the series follows the social and romantic lives of Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) and his friends Marshall Eriksen (Jason Segel), Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), Lily Aldrin (Alyson Hannigan) and Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris); the narration done by a future Ted Mosby is done by Bob Saget. The framing device of the show is an older Ted in 2030 explaining to his two children how he met their mother. The show is loosely based on the friendship of creaters, Craig Thomas and Carter Bays. The series has run for eight seasons and 184 episodes and the ninth and final season will air in 2013-14.
