Leslie William Nielsen, (1926 - 2010) was a Canadian actor best known as the star of films of absurd humour as Airplane! and Naked Gun! He began his acting career in 1956 in the movie "The Vagabond King", but had no success until 1980 when he starred Airplane! playing the impassive Dr. Rumack.

Leslie married 4 times and had 2 daughters. Nielsen admitted to a hospital in Fort Lauderdale (Florida), about 12 days for pneumonia. He died on November 28, 2010 due to complications of the disease.
