A shape-shifting Norse god who appears frequently in the mythology. He is the father of the gods Hel and Narfi, as well as the mythical beasts Fenrir, Jörmungandr and Sleipnir. He tricks Hodur into killing his brother Baldr and is punished by being bound with the entrails of his offspring. At the time of the Ragnarok he will break free of his bindings and fight alongside the giants. He will come across Heimdallr and they will kill each other.
