A New York based start-up who launched a website through which anyone can submit messages that will be broadcast to a star 17 light years away in the hopes that an alien could potentially read the message. Each message costs 25 cents to send, and will be broadcast from the Jamesburg Earth Station in Carmel Valley, California. Lone Signal hopes to generate enough interest to maintain a full-scale continuous transmission project.
