Born on November 30, 1835 and died on April 21, 1910, Mark Twain was pen name of American author Samuel Langhorn Clemens. He is noted for penning what is called the "Great American Novel," also known as the novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Twain's upbringing in Hannibal, Missouri set the background for this novel, as well as its preluding novel, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

In addition to his writing, Twain is also highly remembered for his humor, wit, and public speaking abilities.
